Reading doesn’t make you smarter.

Have you ever finished reading something, only to realize you can’t recall what you just read?

We’re constantly consuming information, books, articles, social media feeds, and more. But how much of it are we truly absorbing and retaining?

The problem of Passive Consumption :

It’s easy to fall into the trap of mindless reading — skimming through content just to check boxes, follow trends, or because the information is put in front of us.

But reading without a clear purpose is like eating without being hungry. You’re just mindlessly filling up without any real nourishment.

We’ve become information glut-tons, passively ingesting whatever is served up, whether we need it or not. And much of it passes right through us, forgotten as quickly as it was consumed.

The Solution: Purposeful, Problem-Driven Reading

But what if we took a more intentional approach?

Instead of just reading anything and everything, we focused our efforts on the specific topics, problems, and growth areas that truly mattered to us.

The same principles apply to our learning in all areas of life. When we’re trying to solve a problem, understand an issue better, or broaden our knowledge in a particular domain, that’s when our reading becomes most productive.
